On May 20th, 19 citizens completed the Warwick PD Citizens Police Academy which has been a very successful and popular program since its inception. The course consists of ten weekly sessions of classroom and hands-on trainging such as Patrol Operations, Crime Scene Investigations, K-9 demonstrations, firearms and ride alongs. The purpose of the program is to expose citizens to the realities of police work and training to better our relationship with our citizen partners to accomplish our mission: to protect and serve.
Those who graduated: Donna Anthony, Shawn Clayton, Kelly Dicenzo, Alissa Faiola, Matthew Giordano, David Alan Golder, Derek Hitchener, Edward Huddleston, Gary Kondvar, Debra Maymon, Edward Mello, Matthew Moura, Ruth Nicastro, Jane O'Brien, Kenneth Page, Patricia Peshka, Donald Plumb, Sandra Scanlon and Jasmin Serrano.
