The Warwick Police Department has a very successful

Click It or Ticket

Campaign

Warwick, RI- The Warwick Police Department joined local and national law enforcement officers as well as highway safety advocates all across the country during the most recent national Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement campaign which ran from March 23rd through March 29th.

During the mobilization, officers ticketed motorists who failed to wear their seat belts both day and night. The goal was to keep everyone safe on our roadways and to prevent the senseless injuries and deaths because someone made the wrong choice not to wear their seat belt.

Over the course of the campaign, Warwick Police officers stopped 111 vehicles for seat belt violations, issued 106 seat belt /child seat citations, arrested two (2) motorists for operating on suspended licenses, arrested one (1) motorist who had an outstanding warrant, and issued numerous assorted other traffic violations.

The Warwick Police Department strongly believes that the use of seat belts helps to save lives and motorists need to remember Click it or Ticketshould they chose not to buckle up.
